St. Charles County Sheriff's Department

The following information is from selected police reports submitted by the St. Charles County Sheriff's Department and covers incidents that occurred Jan. 17-19:

Burglary

Several firearms were stolen Jan. 17 from a residence in the first block of Gerald Drive near St. Charles. The garage door was broken and the metal locker where the guns were stored showed signs of forced entry.

Three computers, a scooter and a paint ball gun were stolen Jan. 17 or 18 from a foreclosed residence in the first block of Gallaway Court. The home's front door was insecure.

A plasma TV, a flat-screen TV and a grey safe containing a large amount of cash, two handguns, a coin collection, passports and a digital camera were stolen Jan. 19 from a home in the 800 block of Nancy Drive in Weldon Spring. The home showed no signs of forced entry. The incident was under investigation.

Felony stealing

A handgun was stolen Jan. 18 from a residence in the 900 block of South Brampton Drive near St. Charles.

A $2,700 watch was stolen Jan. 19 from a home in the first block of Cedar Grove Court after the homeowner invited two strangers into his home. The resident invited the strangers, who gave him a ride home from a gas station where the three had just met, into his home for a beer at 1 a.m. The three people socialized until 2:30 a.m., during which time the homeowner took off his watch and left it on his stove. He realized the watch was missing the next morning.

Ransacked home

A male juvenile and a woman were arrested for ransacking a home in the first block of San Carlos Drive near St. Charles and for stealing two handguns, alcohol and other items. The homeowner called police at 7 p.m. Jan. 18 after he was unable to enter the residence because a heavy object blocked the door. The home was littered with trash. Dresser and desk drawers were pulled out and several personal items were scattered around the home. The contents of two bedrooms were destroyed, police said. Milk was also poured onto the home's carpets. Police believe the suspects, who they found by tracking the stolen property, broke through a window.

Lake Saint Louis police

The following information is from selected police reports submitted by the Lake Saint Louis Police Department and covers incidents that occurred Jan. 20-26:

Vehicle theft

A man who loaned his car to his ex-girlfriend reported it stolen Jan. 20 after the woman did not return it in a timely manner. The vehicle was returned to his residence on Rue Grand Drive later that day.

Shoplifting

A 17-year-old man was arrested Jan. 22 for stealing $30 worth of merchandise from the Lake Saint Louis Wal-Mart. Later that day, police arrested an 18-year-old man for stealing $120 worth of video games from the same store.

Fraud

A man reported Jan. 24 that his credit card had been used to make $130 in unauthorized purchases.

St. Peters police

The following information is from selected police reports submitted by the St. Peters Police Department and covers incidents that occurred Jan. 24-31:

Felony stealing

Five tires worth a total of $500 were stolen Jan. 20 from the back of a pickup truck while it was parked at Mid Rivers Chrysler Jeep Dodge in the 4900 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway.

A 26-year-old man was arrested Jan. 31 for felony shoplifting after he attempted to steal a bottle of vodka from Wal-Mart on Jungermann Road. He had two prior shoplifting convictions and was on parole for stealing.

Stealing

Medication was stolen Jan. 28 from a home in the 1200 block of Jungermann Road. The incident was under investigation.

Double theft

A man's keys were stolen Jan. 28 from his coat pocket while it was hanging in a locker room at Club Fitness, 251 Centre Pointe Drive. The thief then used the keys to break into the man's vehicle and steal his wallet, GPS, radar detector and bowling equipment. The keys were left in the truck's ignition.

Stolen property

A person tried to sell $3,000 worth of stolen diving equipment Jan. 24 to the Great American Diving Company in the first block of Triad South Drive. The person was not arrested because it was unclear if he or she knew the equipment was stolen. The incident was under investigation.

Theft from vehicle

An iPod was stolen Jan. 30 from a locked truck while it was parked in the 500 block of Wyatt Drive. The truck's window was broken.

Burglary

Money was stolen Jan. 31 from the office of Gateway Auto Wash, 7875 Mexico Road, after someone broke through the building's siding and drywall.

O'Fallon police

The following information is from selected police reports submitted by the O'Fallon Police Department and covers incidents that occurred Jan. 28-Feb. 3:

Burglary

A 37-year-old Lake Saint Louis woman was arrested Jan. 28 for first-degree burglary after she broke into a home in the 500 block of Country Circle Drive while the homeowner was there. She was later arrested by police because the homeowner recognized her.

A computer and kitchen appliances were stolen Jan. 31 from a home in the 2300 block of Wild Oak Drive. The home's window was open and a door was damaged.

Computer games were stolen Feb. 1 from a home in the 2300 block of Lardeo Drive. The home showed no signs of forced entry.

Less than $500 in cash was stolen Feb. 1 from a home in the 700 block of Plaza Drive. The home's door was damaged.

About $1,100 in cash and a laptop were stolen Feb. 3 from a home in the 5500 block of Wooded Creek Drive. The home's kitchen window was open and an outer screen door was unlocked.

Shoplifting

Two Foley women, ages 17 and 20, were arrested Jan. 29 for stealing clothing from a store in the 2200 block of Highway K.

Two 19-year-old women, one from Wentzville and the other from O'Fallon, were arrested for stealing movies from a store in O'Fallon Square.

A 31-year-old O'Fallon man was arrested Jan. 31 for stealing a television from a store in O'Fallon Square.

Stealing

About $3,500 worth of power cords were stolen Feb. 3 from a construction company in the 100 block of North Cool Springs Road.

St. Charles police

The following information is from selected police reports submitted by the St. Charles Police Department and covers incidents reported Feb. 1-3:

Theft from vehicles

Eight Corvette hood ornaments were stolen Feb. 1 and 2 from vehicles parked in the 3500 block of Little Hills Expressway.

Accidental shooting

A 48-year-old man accidently shot himself in the abdomen Feb. 2 while unloading his 25-caliber handgun. Police believe alcohol was involved in the incident, which occurred in the 1500 block of Santa Cruz Court. The man was transported to an area hospital, where he was listed as in stable but guarded condition.

Daytime burglaries

Copper pipes were stolen over the past two to three weeks from vacant residences in the 1400 block of Boone's Lick Road. In each incident, a basement window was broken.

A laptop and jewelry were stolen Feb. 3 from a residence in the 200 block of Berlekamp Drive. The rear patio door was unlocked.

A laptop computer, cell phone, video camera and portable DVD player were stolen Feb. 3 from a residence in the 700 block of Clark Street. The home showed no signs of forced entry.

About $5,000 in cash was stolen Feb. 3 from a residence in the 2300 block of Ashley Place Drive. The home showed no signs of forced entry.
