BOOKMOBILE: The Scenic Regional Library bookmobile schedule is 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Warrenton Head Start; noon-1 p.m. at Charrette Apartments.

WOMEN'S LUNCHEON: The Tri-County Women's Connection luncheon and program will be from 11:15 a.m.-1 p.m. at Christy Banquet Center, 9000 Veterans Memorial Parkway in O'Fallon. Speaker will be Jan Merritt of Bloomington, Ill., whose talk is titled "From Superwoman to Mild-Mannered Mom." Musician will be Joan Wright of Foristell. GARAGE SALE: Agape Ministry of Warren County will have a garage sale from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., weather permitting. The sale will feature bicycles, furniture, clothing, household knick-knacks, toys, small appliances, blankets and books. Proceeds support Agape Ministry programs. Future sales will be on the third Thursday each month. Agape is at 713 Powell, off Veterans Memorial Parkway just east of Highway 47 in Warrenton. BOOKMOBILE: The Scenic Regional Library bookmobile schedule is 9:30-11 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Elementary; 11:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in Dutzow; 2-4 p.m. in Lake Sherwood.

FUNDRAISER: Applebee's in Warrenton will donate 10 percent of its profits to the Warren County Relay for Life team, Team 4 Mike and Phil. The funds will benefit the American Cancer Society to aid cancer research and programs for cancer patients.

April 17

DINNER AND DANCE: Frank Stanek and the Country Limits will host a dinner and dance event at the American Legion Hall in New Haven. Dinner at 4:30 p.m. with a dance from 7-11 p.m.

April 18

FOREST MANAGEMENT: The Ruffed Grouse Society and the Missouri Department of Conservation will have a forest management workshop for private landowners at 9 a.m. on the Bill Haag property near Portland. Foresters and biologists will discuss tree identification, forest management, cost share opportunities, wildlife management and timber harvesting. Landowners may tour approximately 700 acres of actively managed forests, woodlands and glades. Optional 6 a.m. start for anyone wanting to hear a ruffed grouse drumming. DEMO DERBY: The Warren County Fair Board will sponsor a demolition derby at 6 p.m. at the Warren County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 4 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for children 5-12. HOME AND GARDEN SHOW: The 10th annual Home and Garden Show will be from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. April 18 and from noon-3 p.m. April 19 at the Missouri Army National Guard Armory, 1 Armory Road, just off the North East Service Road in Warrenton. Admission is free. Call 636-456-2530 for booth information.

BOOK SALE: The Scenic Regional Library, 912 S. Highway 47 in Warrenton, will host a book sale beginning at 9 a.m. Sale will include adult and children's books, videos and DVDs, and books on tape. Hardbacks will cost $1, paperbacks 50 cents. Visit www.scenicregional.org for more information.

DANCE: Frank Stanek and the Country Limits will host a dance from 2-5 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 28855 Legion Trail in Warrenton.

April 27

KINDERGARTEN: Wright City Elementary School, 100 Wildcat Drive, will have kindergarten orientation from 6-7 p.m. Parents and students can meet staff members, take a virtual glimpse at the new Wright City East Elementary School, travel through learning stations in each kindergarten room, and parents may ask questions while children take recess. Information will be shared about daily routines. Summer school packets will be available.

BOOKMOBILE: The Scenic Regional Library bookmobile schedule is 9-10:45 a.m. at Wesleyan Kiddie Kollege; 11:15 a.m.-1 p.m. Liberty Christian Academy; 2-4 p.m. in the Lake Sherwood community.

May 2

GOLF TOURNAMENT: The Warrenton Knights of Columbus annual golf tournament will be at Warrenton Golf Course, on South Highway 47. The event is a three-person scramble that includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch, dinner, beverages, cash prizes, attendance prizes, hole-in-one competition, raffles, mulligans and 50-50 drawings. Entry fee is $75 per player. A hole sponsorship is $100. Proceeds will benefit Holy Rosary Catholic School. Call Bob Nelson at 636-456-4299.

CAR SHOW: Mechanical Motion Automotive Repair and Detailing will host a car show from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Wright City High School, 520 Westwoods Road. Entry fee is $10. Includes People's Choice award. DINNER AND DANCE: Doors open at 6 p.m. for the Turning Point Women's Shelter's annual dinner and dance at the Wright City Lions Club, 678 Westwoods Road. CANNING CLASS: Linda Rellergert, nutrition and health education specialist and master gardener, will present a food preservation workshop from 6-8 p.m. at the Warren County Extension Center, 107 W. Walton in Warrenton. Includes instruction on using and caring for pressure canners and boiling water canners. Participants will see demonstrations and learn about resources and recipes. GOLF TOURNAMENT: The Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce's annual golf tournament will be an 18-hole, three-person scramble at Warrenton Golf Course, on South Highway 47. Shotgun start at 10 a.m. Features a $10,000 hole-in-one contest sponsored by Gastorf-Schrumpf Motors; lunch and dinner; longest drive and longest putt competitions; mulligans and birdies for sale.
